Abstract art is a journey of letting go and surrendering to the silence.  It's very easy to get overwhelmed by everyday thoughts.  I find my best work comes when my hand takes control and painting becomes gestural and fluid.  I begin with a simple idea then allow the color, texture, and shapes to evolve and guide me through the process.
